Where did those wrinkles come from?
Repeated expressions can cause wrinkles. Initially, these wrinkles will only be seen when the muscles contract like when we smile or frown, and are referred to as dynamic wrinkles. As time passes, our skin becomes progressively creased, so they can be seen even at rest. These are referred to as static wrinkles.
What wrinkle treatments are available? How do they work?
Dr Moko’s team uses a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles.
A small amount is injected into selected facial muscles. Once the muscles are relaxed, you cannot contract them and make undesirable facial expressions. The lines gradually soften and new lines are prevented from forming.
What does the treament involve? How long does it last?
Generally, treatment takes around 10 minutes, discomfort is usually minimal, and normal activities can be resumed soon after. It takes about 7 – 14 days to see the full effect and it can last up to 4 months.
