Brow Lift

Do you have worry lines or a low eyebrow position? A brow lift can remove a sad, grumpy appearance by raising drooping eyebrows and smoothing the brow.

Before Procedure

At your first consultation with Dr Moko, she will listen to what you would like changed about your appearance. She will obtain a thorough medical history and physical examination. She will give you an honest appraisal of what can be achieved, outlining the details of the procedure and the possible risks.

Photos will be taken before and after to record your results.

Procedure

The procedure is based on the modern endoscopic approach to brow lift in which five small incisions are made inside the hairline. A surgical telescope is used to ensure that your scalp and nerves are protected and the correct muscles are modified. The brow is elevated and anchored with sutures and small screws.

Any excess upper eyelid skin is then removed.

After Procedure

A brow lift can be done on a day surgery basis. You will awake in an upright position with ice packs on your forehead to reduce swelling and bruising. A bandage will be in place overnight. After ten days, your surgical staples and screws will be removed in the rooms.

Following your brow lift, you should refrain from excessive reading, computer use or writing as this will cause your eyes to become tired. It is not uncommon to experience numbness or itching of the scalp for several months after the operation, but this should disappear in time.
